About the Role
This position is part of the State of Vermont's commitment to providing high-quality mental health care to its citizens. As a Psychiatric Registered Nurse III, you will be working in a 25-bed state-of-the-art psychiatric facility in Vermont, providing excellent care to patients with complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized care to patients with psychiatric conditions, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments, identify patient needs, and develop effective care plans to promote patient recovery and well-being.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patient responses to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and caregivers to provide education and support, promoting patient empowerment and self-management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Vermont.
