Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Walgreens. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
  • Process prescriptions, including verifying patient information and medication orders.
  • Operate pharmacy systems, including entering patient and drug information, and processing transactions.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain certification and stay up-to-date on the latest pharmacy practices.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB) or registration (RPhT) required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register.
