Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Engineer to fill the role of Director of Engineering and Technical Services. This position will be responsible for providing technical comments on leasing documents, overseeing the work of other engineers, and managing complex electrical and HVAC projects.

The ideal candidate will have a valid New York State License as a Professional Engineer and six years of experience in chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, or plan examining work, with at least two years in an executive, managerial, or administrative capacity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical comments on leasing documents, including Term Sheets, Lease Drafts, and Scopes of Work
  • Oversee the work of four other engineers on similar projects
  • Manage complex electrical and HVAC projects in leased and City-owned space
  • Develop, review, and supervise plans and technical drawings to ensure code, industry, and City compliance
  • Perform project contract and general administrative duties
Requirements
  • Valid New York State License as a Professional Engineer
  • Six years of experience in chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, or plan examining work
  • At least two years of experience in an executive, managerial, or administrative capacity
