Position Overview:

We are seeking a Program Manager for the M1/M2 Basic Science Curriculum. This role involves collaborating with course leaders, faculty, and administrative staff to effectively deliver and oversee the basic science curriculum for medical students.

  • Facilitate pre-matriculation tasks and orientation activities for incoming students.
  • Work closely with course leaders to ensure efficient implementation and management of courses. Oversee daily operations, including scheduling sessions, assigning spaces, managing educational resources, and distributing materials to students and faculty.
  • Organize and lead course management meetings to ensure timely completion of administrative responsibilities. Prioritize tasks, identify action items, and develop timelines for completion. Keep course leaders and relevant team members updated on progress.
  • Collaborate with course leaders to develop accurate course schedules.
  • Manage learning management systems for all basic science courses, ensuring materials are organized and accessible to students.
  • Maintain and update student course rosters, coordinating with course leaders to assign students to activities and groups as necessary.
  • Act as the primary contact for faculty, students, and staff regarding administrative inquiries related to the basic science courses, maintaining a professional and responsive approach.
  • Identify potential challenges in course management, propose solutions, and seek assistance when necessary.
  • Coordinate regular meetings for course faculty, ensuring timely distribution of meeting materials.
  • Assist in the preparation and coordination of quizzes and examinations across the basic science curriculum, maintaining proficiency in exam administration tools.
  • Supervise exam proctoring across all years of the undergraduate medical education program.
  • Securely archive graded assignments and assessments for each course, assisting with the coordination of grading committees.
  • Collaborate with the evaluation and assessment team to gather feedback on basic science courses and share insights with faculty.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives, including meeting coordination and strategy development.
  • Oversee curriculum databases and ensure proper archiving of course materials.
  • Support course leaders in curriculum mapping for basic science courses.
  • Assist with procurement processes for curriculum resources and maintain an inventory of necessary supplies.
  • Aid the educational administration team in developing and documenting standard operating procedures for administrative tasks.
  • Supervise the Basic Science Medical Education Specialist, assigning duties, monitoring performance, and providing necessary training and feedback.
  • Manage room reservations for educational activities, ensuring appropriate space allocation across all curricular years.
  • Attend and support special events related to medical education as required.
  • Undertake special projects and other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and one year of experience; or an associate's degree with three years of experience; or a high school diploma with five years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong organizational skills, and experience in medical education are highly desirable.
