Job Opportunity:

Alys Beach is seeking an experienced Server/Bartender to join our team at Neat Tasting Room & Bottle Shop in Alys Beach Community, Florida. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing beverage orders, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Utilize proper food handling and service techniques to ensure a safe and enjoyable dining experience for our guests.
  • Take beverage orders from service staff or directly from patrons and serve wine, beer, and cocktails with precision and attention to detail.
  • Assist with meal service, ensuring timely and friendly delivery of food and drinks to our guests.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
  • Assist with the orientation and training of new employees, promoting a positive and supportive team culture.
  • Practice all safety and loss prevention procedures, ensuring a secure and responsible work environment.
  • Maintain or exceed standards of appearance, cleanliness, personal sanitation, and hygiene.
  • Collect money for drinks served and balance cash receipts accurately.
  • Verify the age of customers purchasing alcohol and take steps to limit problems and liability related to excessive drinking.
  • Stock the bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies, ensuring a well-stocked and efficient service area.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of full-service bar/restaurant experience is desired.
  • Strong knowledge of beverages, including beer, wine, and liquor.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain a calm professional demeanor during periods of stress.
Essential Functions:
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours.
  • Ability to reach, bend, squat, carry plates, trays of glasses, and lift glass racks and boxes weighing up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per shift.
  • Ability to tolerate some exposure to smoke, steam, high temperatures, and humidity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Organizational skills, able to be organized in a changing environment.
  • Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write the English language.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Cicerone Level 1 certification.
  • Wine certification, Level 1 Court of Master Sommelier.
  • Mixology course.
