Front Desk Receptionist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at Total Care Services. As a Front Desk Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients, handling phone calls, and managing the front office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls and transfer to appropriate departments or individuals
- Book patient appointments and process walk-ins
- Confirm patient appointments for the next clinic day
- Process patient paperwork, ensuring all fields and data are obtained
- Verify patient insurance and obtain benefits and eligibility
- Scan patient information into eClinicalWorks
- Interact with patients regarding collection of funds for current and past due amounts
- Balance cash drawer daily
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the Office Lobby
- Organize and present the Front Desk area
Requirements:
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Must be computer literate; experience with EMR (Electronic Health Records) is preferred
- Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Regular attendance and timeliness are essential functions of this position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year Front Desk Specialist experience in Family Practice or Urgent Care Clinic
- Possess Time Management abilities
- General office skills required (ability to type, use calculator, and other office equipment)
Work Environment:
This position involves working in a fast-paced office environment with occasional exposure to sick patients. The noise level is usually quiet to moderate, depending on patient flow.
Supervision:
This position reports to the Office/HR Manager, Clinical Director, and Medical Doctor.
