Job Summary

Avante at Inverness, Inc. is seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Speech Therapist, you will provide and direct Speech-Language Pathologist services to residents, including assessment, treatment, program planning, and implementation.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Speech-Language Pathologist services to residents and initiate referrals when appropriate and in accordance with department procedures.
  • Conduct screenings of residents at regular intervals to determine the need for intervention/treatment.
  • Evaluate residents to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation. Conduct specialized evaluations as indicated.
  • Monitor residents' responses to intervention and modify treatment as indicated to attain goals in accordance with physician orders.
  • Develop appropriate home or community programming to maintain and enhance the performance of residents in their own environment.
  • Provide clinical information in a timely manner concerning safety and functional needs for discharge.
  • Adhere to established confidentiality standards.
  • Implement and conduct treatment as outlined in treatment plans.
  • Follow management direction.
  • Assist with and participate in Continuous Quality Improvement programs as directed.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Successful completion of National Certification Examination for S.L.P.
  • Current state licensure or license eligible.
  • 0-3 years of long-term care experience.
