We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our team of healthcare professionals.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient evaluation, care, and treatment in both office and hospital settings. They will be responsible for examining and treating patients independently and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
The Primary Job Functions include:
- Performing initial or follow-up evaluations and management of patients with acute or chronic GI conditions.
- Obtaining patient histories and performing physical examinations.
- Ordering appropriate medical treatment, including medications, medical devices, intravenous fluids, laboratory/diagnostic studies, procedures, or physical therapy.
- Utilizing differential diagnoses and recommending appropriate interventions.
- Providing counseling and coordination of care.
- Providing physician support by addressing tasks, including patient phone calls and following up with results as needed.
Requirements:
- Advance Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant license with the state of Illinois.
- DEA license required.
- BLS, ACLS certification required; PALS preferred.
- Experience conducting physical exams, treating injuries, suturing strongly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal communications skills.
- Outstanding track record in patient satisfaction.
