Job Summary

The Perfusionist is responsible for the operation of the heart/lung machine, intra-aortic balloon pump, and other instrumentation necessary for perfusion services at Roper CareAlliance.

Maintaining clinical standards and adhering to departmental and system-wide policies is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the operation of the heart/lung machine and other perfusion-related equipment
  • Maintain clinical standards and adhere to departmental and system-wide policies
  • Work well with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital staff
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Graduate of a perfusion training program accredited by the Accreditation Committee for Perfusion Education (AC-PE)
  • Minimum one-year recent clinical experience
  • Certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP)
