Key Responsibilities- Assist the Nurse Manager in the daily operations of the nursing unit/department, including supervising staff and making decisions on patient care.
- Provide direct supervision of staff, including coaching, counseling, and evaluating performance.
- Participate in employee selection and evaluation, scheduling, and staffing.
- Develop and implement clinical and budgetary standards, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership to unit-based work groups, including PI and unit committees.
- Work collaboratively with other clinical leaders to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Licensed by the State of Ohio as an R.N. required.
- BLS and ACLS required.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- BSN required or must obtain within 3 years.
- Three years experience as a professional nurse in which potential administrative and supervisory competence has been demonstrated.
- Computer literacy.
- Experience in leadership and management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
