About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Therapy: Perform comprehensive assessments of students' speech and language skills, and develop and execute personalized therapy plans tailored to the individual needs of each student.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and school staff to improve student outcomes, and maintain precise records of student advancements and adjust therapy strategies as required.
  • Professional Development: Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert input on speech and language goals, and keep abreast of the latest advancements and research in speech-language pathology through continuous professional growth.

Requirements:

  • Education and Licensure: Completion of a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution, and hold a valid Florida state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certifications and Qualifications: Possess a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and obtain a Professional Educator Certificate from the Florida Department of Education (mandatory for public school roles).
  • Experience and Skills: Previous experience working with children in an educational environment is advantageous, and demonstrate outstanding communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.

Work Environment:
