Job Summary:

As a Transportation Officer - Public Safety, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe transportation of colleagues, patients, and visitors across the hospital campus. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport colleagues, patients, and visitors safely and efficiently across the hospital campus
  • Patrol and survey all areas of hospital parking to ensure a secure environment
  • Respond to emergency situations quickly and appropriately
  • Collaborate with the Chief Security Officer to ensure seamless communication and coordination
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent; Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred
  • Minimum one year commercial driving experience; three years preferred
  • Current Florida CDL (Commercial Drivers License) with a passenger endorsement required
  • Valid state driver license and at least two years of licensed driving experience required
  • Seven-year driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) required
