Job Summary

Better Morning, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate School-Based Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide mental health services to students in a school setting, working closely with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to promote a positive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions to students, addressing a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress, ensuring that students receive evidence-based interventions.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to develop and implement behavioral interventions, providing support and guidance to help students succeed academically and socially.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, sharing knowledge and expertise to ensure that students receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records, adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in mental health, participating in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • License to practice as a mental health professional in the state of employment.
  • At least 1-3 years of experience working with children and adolescents in a mental health setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Strong assessment and treatment planning skills, with the ability to develop and implement evidence-based interventions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and communication.
