About the Role

The Mobile Service Technician is a key member of our team at Great Dane, responsible for providing top-notch maintenance and repair services to our customers' trailers, chassis, and truck bodies. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform intermediate-level troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks, including tire replacements, brake adjustments, electrical diagnostics, and structural repairs.
  • Conduct annual FHWA inspections and ensure all repairs are completed to the highest standards.
  • Patch holes in trailer side panels and roofs, ensuring all repairs are watertight and meet company standards.
  • Operate assigned service truck in a professional manner, maintaining a clean and well-stocked vehicle.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, using company maintenance software to track progress and ensure compliance with company procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; minimum of 1 year of experience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver's license and CDL preferred; ability to travel to customer sites as needed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
