At Walker Methodist, we are dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults through a culture of care, respect, and service. We are seeking highly skilled and compassionate Resident Assistants to join our team at Timber Pines, a senior living community located near I-35 and local businesses.
As a Resident Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering hands-on personal care to meet each resident's physical health and hygiene needs according to their individual care plan and under the direction of a nurse. Your responsibilities will include performing specialized procedures such as medication administration, medication reminders, accurate vital signs, simple wound care dressing, and catheter care.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality personal care to residents, ensuring their physical health and hygiene needs are met
- Administer medications and provide medication reminders as needed
- Take accurate vital signs and perform simple wound care dressing and catheter care
- Work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure resident care plans are met
- Sensitivity to resident needs and the ability to build positive relationships
- Availability to work every other weekend
- Basic computer skills with experience or ability to learn electronic health record systems
- High-school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to live Walker Methodist's Customer Service Principles
- Ability to support Walker Methodist's Mission and Vision
- Ability to model Walker Methodist's Values
- Current MN Nursing Assistant certification
- Experience in acute care or long-term care
- Experience in medication administration
