Overview: TACO Metals, a valued member of the Patrick Industries family, is in search of a Plant Controller to enhance our Finance/Accounting Department in Sparta, TN. This role is pivotal in managing, directing, and coordinating financial reporting, accounting practices, and budgeting initiatives to support our operational growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor the Accounting Team.
  • Manage the Accounts Payable (AP) process to ensure timely processing and payment of vendor invoices.
  • Oversee the Accounts Receivable (AR) function to guarantee customer payments are collected promptly.
  • Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
  • Adhere to the corporate closing schedule.
  • Ensure accurate inventory valuation through various financial reports.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial statements.
  • Analyze budget variances and collaborate with management to address discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting and tax obligations.
  • Monitor and manage capital expenditures.
  • Work collaboratively with HR, Purchasing, Sales, and other operational departments.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 5 years in Accounting/Finance roles.
  • Experience in manufacturing and cost accounting is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse personnel.
  • Self-driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated accountability and follow-through.
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • High level of integrity, confidence, and respect.
