Key Responsibilities- Loading and Delivery: Load and secure building materials onto delivery vehicles, and deliver them to customer sites in a safe and efficient manner.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by ensuring that customer orders are accurate and delivered on time.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of delivery vehicles, and perform routine safety checks to ensure compliance with company guidelines.
- Logistics and Administration: Maintain accurate logs of delivery duties, including amounts and/or weights of items, mileage, and locations of deliveries.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, and 21+ years old. Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials and delivery equipment, is desirable.
- Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver's license, and a DOT medical card.
- Skills and Abilities: Basic math and measurement skills, ability to read and speak the English language, and ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds frequently.
The physical demands of this job include working in a production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels, and dust. The ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds frequently, and on occasion, up to 200 pounds with assistance, is required.
