Position Overview:

The Culinary Operations Manager will oversee all aspects of the kitchen, including menu development in collaboration with the Executive Chef, managing kitchen personnel, and ensuring the procurement of high-quality ingredients. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the seamless operation of our kitchen during service hours and upholding our culinary standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to all departmental and company policies and procedures.
  • Lead and mentor kitchen staff, providing performance feedback and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Set daily priorities and delegate tasks to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Develop and implement daily specials, incorporating feedback from the Executive Chef.
  • Review event orders and adjust preparations as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to provide clear instructions.
  • Conduct daily inventory checks and manage supply requisitions.
  • Collaborate with the Stewarding team to ensure equipment and sanitation standards are met.
  • Monitor staff attendance and ensure proper staffing levels.
  • Maintain an organized and well-stocked kitchen environment.
  • Ensure all culinary staff adhere to recipes and production standards.
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide necessary training to uphold quality standards.
  • Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
  • Conduct regular inspections of kitchen areas to maintain high standards of quality and cleanliness.
  • Assist in menu planning and execution alongside the Executive Chef.
  • Work closely with the catering department to exceed guest expectations.
  • Analyze food costs and sales with the Executive Chef to meet budgetary goals.
  • Optimize the use of surplus items to minimize waste.
  • Oversee the training of new hires and maintain ongoing training programs for existing staff.
  • Adhere to all safety and security protocols within the kitchen.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to teamwork. Candidates should have the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional demeanor. A strong understanding of culinary techniques and kitchen operations is essential.
