Job Summary

We're looking for a skilled Communications Associate to support and execute various communication efforts to promote our mission and engage our audiences. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing communication strategies, managing social media platforms, writing and editing content for various channels, maintaining our website, and supporting the design and production of marketing materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and execution of communication strategies to promote our mission and engage our audiences.
  • Manage social media platforms to increase our online presence and engagement.
  • Write and edit content for various channels, including our website, social media, and marketing materials.
  • Maintain our website to ensure it is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Support the design and production of marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, and other promotional materials.
  • Closely collaborate with our Communications Director to ensure the Salesforce CRM is kept up-to-date and assist in implementing cybersecurity measures.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in communications, marketing, or a similar role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Salesforce CRM and report generation.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity management and threat mitigation.
  • Proficiency in social media management and content creation.
  • Experience with website content management systems (Craft CMS).
  • Knowledge of graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for sustainable food systems and promoting local, sustainable food.
