Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Therapist to join our team at Thrive Behavioral Health. As a key member of our staff, you will provide assessment evaluations, outpatient short-term psychotherapy, and linkage with community service agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide initial assessment and intake evaluation in clients' homes.
  • Offer individual, couples, family, or group counseling within the scope of your competencies.
  • Provide crisis intervention and develop recovery plans.
  • Collaborate with other providers, agencies, insurance companies, and individuals in clients' networks of care.
  • Provide relapse prevention, discharge planning, follow-up, and aftercare.
  • Teach clients effective techniques for managing their medication as prescribed.
  • Coordinate community resources, transportation for clients, and referrals to appropriate resources.
  • Assist clients in developing and strengthening their support networks.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Attend all agency/department required training and meetings.
  • Attend all Safety Training programs and describe your responsibilities related to general safety, department safety, and specific job-related hazards.
  • Demonstrate respect and regard for the dignity of all clients, families, visitors, and fellow employees.

  • Present a neat appearance in proper attire and identification as required by the position, department, and agency policies.
  • Work the hours and/or shifts assigned and begin and end on time.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in the human service field of social work or counseling preferred.
  • Minimum 2-year experience working with clients with disabilities preferred.
  • Experience or training in related state and federal assistance programs also preferred.
  • Licensed at an independent level (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW) preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance meeting Rhode Island minimum standards law or the ability to obtain necessary transportation.
