Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough visual and dimensional inspections of manufactured parts to ensure compliance with acceptance criteria

• Utilize advanced measuring techniques, including CMM, to inspect manufactured parts and uphold quality standards

• Interpret and apply advanced blueprints, assembly drawings, and technical specifications to ensure accurate inspection and quality control

• Collaborate with operations teams to support the achievement of internal and external goals, including supplier and customer expectations

• Record and document all inspection findings, including receiving, in-process, and final inspections

• Participate in 5S+ initiatives to maintain a clean and organized working environment

• Identify and report non-conformance issues, generating reports as required

• Develop and implement inspection methodologies and procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy

• Utilize MFG-PRO and WISPER systems to process parts systematically and generate DMRs

• Apply knowledge of hand tools, including gage R and R, and material analysis processing

• Develop and maintain advanced operating systems skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel

• Apply mathematical skills to inspect or generate programs for CNC/CMM inspection

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) minimum

• 5 years of work experience, with 3 years in quality control or a related field

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee

• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate Beltsville area (50 miles) will be considered for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate Degree or Technical certification preferred

• Experience working with inspection plans, first piece layout, FAIR's, mil certs, and COC's

• Advanced Blueprint reading, GD & T, and CMM training/certification is a plus

• Knowledge of scanning and programming from solid models, Mitutoyo, and MCOSMOS software a plus

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications

• Basic mathematical calculations and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Work Conditions:

• Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language

• Must be able to stand/walk 8+ hours/day

• Must be able to lift up to 35lbs

• Possible exposure to radiation through the use of a XRF device for scanning material
