Job SummaryThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at ThedaCare provides patient-centered care to patients in a variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient facilities. The LPN works under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice clinician, or physician to provide evidence-based care and promote a culture of innovation and growth.
Key Responsibilities- Collect data on patients' physical condition and nursing needs, and assist with implementing the plan of care.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional team to provide high-quality care and achieve clinical outcomes.
- Perform delegated tasks using evidence-based practice and specific competencies.
- Identify ways to improve patient care, streamline care processes, and lower costs.
- Contribute to a professional environment that encourages mentoring, engagement, and development.
- Maintain positive relationships with physicians and other interprofessional team members.
- Current Wisconsin LPN licensure.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
The LPN works in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments. The position requires standing and/or walking for extended periods and transporting patients and/or equipment from one location to another.
ScheduleThe LPN works a variable schedule, Monday through Friday, 7am-6pm, with no weekends or holidays. The scheduled weekly hours are 24, and the scheduled FTE is 0.6.
