Job Description

GrammaTech is seeking a skilled Hardware Design/FPGA Engineer to contribute to platform-level security research projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in FPGA design, software development, and testing, as well as the ability to work seamlessly between software and hardware tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in designing new products and processes, and improving and maintaining existing products
  • Conduct design analysis on components and/or assemblies to ensure designs are cost efficient, manufacturable, and reliable
  • Communicate with other engineering personnel to coordinate interrelated design and ensure project completion
  • Apply ASIC or FPGA place and route tools with various libraries to create physical implementations of designs
  • Develop and maintain documentation for the P&R design flows
  • Integrate new P&R tools, P&R tool updates, and ASIC or FPGA design libraries into the Government's computer aided design environment
  • Work with tool and library vendors to develop solutions for designers' P&R design challenges
  • Perform the deprocessing of electronic components and retrieving stored firmware or software using approved reverse engineering procedures
  • Provide technical leadership to less experienced engineers
  • Direct and check the work of other hardware design engineers
Qualifications
  • Three (3) years of experience in integrated circuit or microelectronic component design or reverse engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Significant experience developing in C/C++, Python, Assembly, and Hardware Description Language
  • FPGA Design experience
