Emergency Services Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Services Director to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of our emergency services department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and driving strategic initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital standards.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and satisfaction.
- Oversee the management of departmental budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of resources and optimal patient care.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including community partners and healthcare providers, to promote collaboration and improve patient outcomes.
- Provide leadership and guidance to departmental staff, including nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure optimal patient care and departmental operations.
- Master's degree in a related field, such as nursing or healthcare administration.
- At least 5 years of experience in emergency services or a related field, with a proven track record of leadership and management experience.
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of New Mexico or eligibility for licensure.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
