About the Role

Sunkeeper Solar is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Driver to join our team. As a Commercial Driver - Solar Industry, you will be responsible for safely transporting materials and equipment to our job sites throughout the New York City metropolitan area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Drive vans, trucks, and cars to deliver materials and equipment to our job sites, ensuring timely and safe transportation.
  • Material Handling: Load and unload equipment and materials at our storage facilities and job sites, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Physical Demands: Repeatedly lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Safety: Maintain a clean driving record, adhere to company safety policies, and comply with all relevant regulations.
Requirements
  • Commercial Driving Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent and relevant experience driving trucks and vans in New York City.
  • Valid Driver's License: Class A or B CDL Driver's License is preferred.
  • Construction Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in the construction industry, with a preference for solar or electrical industry experience.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to work in various weather conditions, lift 50 pounds, and climb ladders.
  • Education: High school or equivalent.

  • Competitive Salary: $38.00 per hour.

  • Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday.
