Job Overview

Position Title: CT Imaging Specialist

Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week), Day Shift, Shared Call Required

Position Summary:

The CT Imaging Specialist is responsible for delivering exceptional patient care through the use of advanced imaging technologies. This role involves performing both general radiography and computed tomography (CT) procedures while adhering to strict radiation safety protocols. The specialist evaluates images for technical accuracy and ensures high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts CT scans and general radiographic procedures with precision.
  • Applies principles of radiation protection to ensure patient safety.
  • Assesses and interprets images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Provides compassionate patient care throughout the imaging process.
  • Recognizes and responds to patient conditions that require immediate intervention.

Qualifications:

Education: A minimum of an associate degree in radiologic technology or a related field is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Must hold certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and possess a valid state license. CPR certification is mandatory, along with ARRT certification in Computed Tomography.

Experience: While new graduates are welcome, candidates with five to ten years of relevant experience are preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships with patients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work competently with patients in various conditions, including emergencies.
  • Proficient in radiographic techniques, patient positioning, and safety protocols.
  • Experienced in administering contrast media for imaging procedures.
