About the Role

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Research Administrative Coordinator to join our team at the Smidt Heart Institute. As a key member of our research operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting the administrative and operational activities of our research programs.

The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for providing administrative support to our research directors, managers, and principal investigators, including budgetary and fiscal management, coordination of academic activities, and assistance with time and effort reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to research directors, managers, and principal investigators, including budgetary and fiscal management.
  • Coordinate the administrative and office management systems for the department/unit.
  • Assist with the preparation of reports, including fiscal and physician billing reports.
  • Serve as a liaison to internal departments and external philanthropic and academic organizations.
  • Provide assistance with grant administration, including pre- and post-award functions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
  • Excellent language skills and understanding of Grants, Manuscript, and Abstract guidelines.
  • Strong verbal and writing ability as well as communication, computer, organization, personnel and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, and handle multiple tasks requiring attention to detail.
