Job Title:

Associate Professor/Professor, Infectious Diseases

Job Summary:

Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is seeking an experienced and accomplished Associate Professor/Professor to join our Infectious Diseases Division. The successful candidate will co-lead a nationally recognized program specializing in vaccination and clinical trials, with a focus on advancing knowledge of pediatric infectious disease and vaccine safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-lead a research program in vaccines and vaccinology, with a focus on clinical trials and vaccine development
  • Oversee clinical and data operations, lead analyses, and disseminate research findings to advance knowledge of pediatric infectious disease and vaccine safety
  • Engage with collaborators at CCHMC and outside institutions to seek out additional projects and funding sources to expand the program
  • Mentor MPH and PhD students, residents, infectious disease fellows, and junior faculty to assist them in pursuing their individual career goals
Requirements:
  • MD or MD-PhD degree in a related scientific or research field
  • Five-ten years of experience in clinical trials
  • Associate Professor appointment or eligibility required
  • Current active medical license issued by the State of Ohio or eligible for license
  • Appropriate medical credentialing through the Medical Staff Services offices
  • Completion of all required pre-employment activities
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Board certification in pediatric infectious diseases
  • Knowledge of growth and development, family-centered care, and clinical knowledge in specialty areas
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to handle projects independently
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
