We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Hospital Medical Leader to join our team at the ASPCA. As a key member of our Community Medicine department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional veterinary care to animals in need, while also leading and mentoring a team of veterinarians and support staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality, compassionate veterinary care to patients, including physical examinations, diagnostics, treatment recommendations, and discharge information.
- Lead and mentor a team of veterinarians and support staff to ensure excellent patient care and a positive work environment.
- Develop and implement effective medical protocols and procedures to ensure the highest level of care for animals.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest veterinary medical advancements and best practices.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent.
- Minimum three years of experience in small animal medicine and surgery.
- Previous people management experience preferred.
- Current California State Veterinary License.
- Fear Free Veterinary certification required within 60 days of hire.
