POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Financial Accountant is accountable for overseeing internal audits and generating financial reports. Responsibilities encompass managing operating plan reports, liaising with inventory teams, and handling commission calculations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, analytical thinking, sound judgment, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to meet stringent deadlines while possessing a solid understanding of accounting principles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Internal Audit Management: Oversee corporate internal and external audits, including the annual year-end audit. Assign audit tasks to team members and report findings to the Accounting Manager and upper management.
  • IATF Audit Coordination: Lead IATF pre-audit preparations and support the audit process. Communicate and report to the parent company in Japan as necessary.
  • Operating Plan Development: Facilitate the creation of the operating plan, including the balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statements, and other documentation required by the parent company.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze the Financial Package Reporting and other monthly reports, including Balance Sheet and P&L fluctuation analyses, along with additional reports as requested by management.
  • Forecast Management: Compile monthly sales forecast data and create forecast files.
  • Cash Flow Oversight: Review and report on monthly cash flow activities.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and monitor cash balances.
  • Commission Calculations: Calculate commissions for sales representatives, ensuring accuracy and timely payments, while collaborating with the Distribution Sales Marketing Analyst and IT department.
  • Inventory Reporting: Generate monthly inventory reports, including Sales/COGS reports and Purchasing Reconciliations, while working closely with the Supply Chain team.
  • Expense Reporting: Manage the review and administration of expenses submitted through Concur, ensuring timely processing and compliance.
  • Process Improvement: Propose enhancements to existing processes to improve departmental efficiency.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other analyses and projects as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient knowledge of accounting and financial practices.
  • Skilled in using software applications, including MS Word, Excel, SAP, and comprehensive accounting systems.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Strong communication skills to interact professionally with colleagues and business partners.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
