As a Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in enhancing customer satisfaction and driving sales. Your responsibilities will encompass:

Sales and Customer Interaction

  • Exhibit a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures.
  • Consistently aim to meet and surpass personal sales targets, such as units per customer and average dollar sale.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism in all communications with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Utilize proper etiquette in all forms of communication with external customers.
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of product specifications and convey this information effectively to customers.
  • Foster genuine relationships with customers to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding customer feedback and employee-related matters.

Inventory Management and Merchandising

  • Ensure the store is organized, clean, and fully stocked on a daily basis.
  • Actively engage in merchandising tasks, including shipping and receiving, and maintaining the sales floor.
  • Participate in floor sets and ensure merchandise is displayed appropriately.
  • Handle merchandise by folding, straightening, sizing, steaming, and replenishing as needed.

Loss Prevention

Safeguard store assets and inventory by adhering to loss prevention protocols. Report any suspicious activities or violations to the Supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • 1-2 years of experience in retail is preferred.
  • A genuine interest in ocean-centric activities is a plus.
  • A High School Diploma is required.
  • Ability to work on the sales floor for extended periods.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Capability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs and perform physical tasks such as carrying, pushing, squatting, kneeling, twisting, turning, reaching, and bending.
  • A positive, outgoing, and energetic personality is essential.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with retail point of sale systems.
