Job Description

At Essentra, a global market leader in plastic injection molded components, we are seeking a self-motivated Industrial Sales Representative to join our team in Westchester, IL. The successful candidate will work closely with the general manager and inside sales manager to drive revenue and sales growth through the development of long-term customer relationships.

Salary & Benefits

The base salary for this position is estimated at $52,000-$61,000 per annum, plus competitive bonus incentives. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, 401K + match, vacation days, and 10 company holidays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new business opportunities with existing customers and qualify new leads.
  • Coordinate with the Manager to manage large projects and multi-step opportunities using CRM/Pipeline Report.
  • Collaborate with purchasing departments, managers, and other staff to ensure accurate order processing and efficient product distribution.
  • Prepare regular reports on account status, leads, and results for management review.
  • Apply industry knowledge and product features to match products with client needs.
  • Provide information, quotes, credit terms, and bid specifications to clients.
  • Ensure orders and samples are processed accurately and shipped on-time.
  • Responsible for quoting catalog items and simple non-stock items.
  • Report weekly updates on new opportunities, wins, or losses within the territory.
  • Maintain a customer database by entering new accounts, updating existing ones, and adding relevant notes.
  • Evaluate and maintain product knowledge and market trends.
  • Participate in weekly meetings and cross-functional management meetings.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in the field or related area.
  • Ability to work in an office environment or remote location.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Strong listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
