Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Wilson, NC. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work with students in a school-based setting, providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech and language disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in students
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with communication needs
  • Provide direct therapy services to students both one-on-one and in small groups
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom activities
  • Educate and support parents and guardians on strategies to support their child's communication development
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans
  • Stay current with best practices and research in speech-language pathology and special education
Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • North Carolina licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred
  • Previous experience working in a school setting or with children is highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload
