Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Tech to perform preventative maintenance assignments, repair and maintain electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, mechanicals, and boilers. The successful candidate will have prior experience working in hotels and be able to handle a variety of tasks, including identifying and locating shut-off valves, operating equipment, and ensuring chemicals and hazardous materials are stored properly.
Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance assignments assigned by the Chief Engineer.
- Display proficiency in maintaining, repairing, and replacing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, mechanicals, and boilers.
- Identify, locate, and operate shut-off valves of all equipment and utilities for buildings.
- Ensure chemicals and hazardous materials are stored properly.
- Maintain pool systems and equipment.
- Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
- Ensure all work performed is conducted in a safe and timely manner, adhering to standards of safety and effective equipment utilization.
- Maintain working knowledge of departmental safety procedures and attend safety-training programs as required.
- Maintain service records on mechanical and structural systems.
- Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed for guest relations, timekeeping, and safety.
- Technical Degree or equivalent experience.
- Technical Training in HVAC and/or Electrical.
- Hospitality or related industry experience.
- Must Have Trade-Related Certifications.
- Trade-Related Certifications preferred in HVAC and/or Electrical.
- Computer skills, including knowledge of database software, internet software, order processing systems, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
Prolonged periods of standing, ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance, and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance. Ability to complete work at heights up to 50 feet using ladders, harnesses, and lifts.
