Position Overview:

Responsibilities:
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is a highly trained nursing professional responsible for administering anesthesia during surgical and procedural interventions. Key duties include:
  • Managing anesthesia for a diverse array of intricate surgical operations.

  • Responding to urgent medical situations by providing airway management and administering emergency medications.
  • Integrating advanced technology and skills to improve anesthesia practices and equipment usage.

  • Collaborating with colleagues in a team-oriented approach to anesthesia care.
  • Mentoring and educating graduate-level nurse anesthesia students and other anesthesia professionals.
  • Engaging in the development of anesthesia patient care audit processes through thorough analysis of anesthesia documentation.

Work Schedule:
Standard hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with on-call duties required 2-3 times monthly (subject to change based on patient care needs).

This position does not offer telework options.

Requirements:
All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. Open to U.S. Citizens; non-citizens may be considered when qualified citizens are unavailable. Candidates selected for testing-designated positions must undergo urinalysis for illegal drug screening prior to appointment. Proficiency in written and spoken English is required. A probationary period may be necessary, and candidates must pass a pre-employment physical examination.

Qualifications:
Applicants pending completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be considered but cannot be hired until all criteria are met.

Basic Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when qualified citizens are not available.
  • English Language Proficiency: Must be proficient in basic written and spoken English.
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program and an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program.
  • Licensure: Must hold a current, unrestricted nursing license.
  • Certification: Certification by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists is required for employment.

Preferred Experience:
A minimum of two years of experience in the CRNA role is preferred. Knowledge, skills, and abilities will be assessed based on experience and education.
