Role Overview: As a pivotal member of our team, you will deliver exceptional service to our clients, aligning with the strategic growth objectives of Marshall & Sterling Inc. Collaborating closely with the Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in business development, policy enhancement, and client retention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding service by promptly addressing client inquiries and tailoring solutions to meet their specific needs.
  • Make informed policy placement decisions in collaboration with the Account Manager, ensuring alignment with client requirements and agency standards.
  • Assess policy coverages, identifying opportunities for enhancement and ensuring clients are informed of necessary upgrades.
  • Evaluate individual risk scenarios to confirm compliance with agency and insurance company standards.
  • Facilitate the acquisition of applications from Sales Executives and clients, providing comprehensive price quotations and coverage comparisons.
  • Oversee all account transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established workflow procedures.
  • Review cancellation requests, determining appropriate actions and collaborating with team members to retain business where possible.
  • Maintain timely follow-ups on client and company suspense items.
  • Utilize every service interaction as an opportunity for account expansion and referrals.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of client accounts prior to renewal, collaborating with the Account Manager to recommend necessary coverage adjustments.
  • Stay informed on industry developments and maintain a repository of relevant information from insurance providers.
  • Engage with clients regularly to express appreciation for their business and reinforce relationships.
  • Process transactions meticulously, ensuring attention to detail and timely execution.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to colleagues, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Assist in claims processing, ensuring follow-up and resolution as needed.
  • Document all client and carrier communications related to coverage and exposure accurately.
  • Participate in professional development and continuing education initiatives to uphold agency standards.
  • Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and communicate any service-related issues to management.
  • Adhere to agency policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and minimizing risk.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all client and agency information.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: College degree; required: high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in insurance coverage, including fundamental rating and underwriting skills.
  • Minimum of ten years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with Vertafore is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and possession of professional insurance designations.
  • Proven track record of exceeding client expectations.
  • Valid state insurance licenses and commitment to ongoing education.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals in a professional manner.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
