Aqua Ohio, Inc. is seeking an Apprentice Utility Technician to join our team. As an Apprentice Utility Technician, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop skills in the water and wastewater industry.

The successful candidate will have the chance to work with our experienced team and gain hands-on experience in operating and maintaining water distribution and sewer collection system facilities. You will also learn how to utilize company technology to ensure assigned work is captured within work order management applications.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Learning to operate and maintain water distribution and sewer collection system facilities
  • Utilizing company technology to ensure assigned work is captured within work order management applications
  • Learning daily work complies with OEPA and PUCO regulatory requirements for operations
  • Ensuring that daily work complies with established company safety policies and procedures
  • Learning how to operate and perform maintenance on equipment used in the maintenance of the water and/or waste water system
  • Learning how to read and interpret maps, drawings and schematics including GIS data
  • Learning how to locate and mark mains, services and other facilities for construction work
  • Learning how to perform customer service, meter reading and treatment plant operations work as assigned
  • Satisfactorily meeting internal and external customer requirements through effective communication and initiative

Requirements include:

  • A high school diploma or the GED equivalent
  • Proficiency at using computer/tablet Window based applications
