Overview: A blend of Sales, Merchandising, Customer Service, Accounting, and Warehouse responsibilities, collaborating with management, sales teams, delivery personnel, staff, and clients to enhance business/store visibility.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Stock and maintain the direct warehouse sales (DWS) Store with products for customer purchases.
- Develop and strengthen retailer relationships.
- Maximize sales by acquiring a solid understanding of Southern Wine & Spirits products and a working knowledge of competitive spirits and wine offerings.
- Build, maintain, and nurture strong and productive business relationships.
- Merchandise products in-store and assist customers with sales through product knowledge.
- Familiarity with shelf schematics and merchandising.
- Make informed decisions regarding credit issues, product needs, and tailored service requirements of accounts.
- Conduct inventory assessments and reconciliations.
- Unload, receive, and verify products and transfers.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1-2 years of relevant industry experience.
- Understanding of customer service principles and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer expectations and deliver excellent service.
- Ability to draw conclusions and inferences from data.
- Competence in managing daily receipts.
- Proficiency in advanced mathematical concepts such as fractions, algebra, statistics, and mathematical modeling.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, including creating pivot tables, developing charts, and using formulas.
- Knowledge of wine and industry standards, including a basic understanding of distribution, wine varietals, and leading spirit categories.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative analysis skills.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Physical demands include significant walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping.
- Must be able to regularly sit and operate machinery such as a forklift.
- May require working at heights of 8 feet or greater.
- Additional hours may be necessary during peak periods.
- Must be able to frequently lift, lower, push, carry, or pull 56lbs.
