About the Role

Alene Candles LLC & Midwest is a leading contract manufacturer producing high-quality candles for renowned retail, boutique, and cosmetic brands. This role requires onsite presence to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The Senior EHS Specialist will oversee a Behavior Based safety program, collaborate with senior leaders, and drive a culture of zero incidents.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure continuous improvement of legal requirements pertaining to manufacturing environmental health and safety.
  • Understand and enforce compliance with OSHA, EPA, and life-safety codes.
  • Support business objectives in relation to health, safety, and environmental concerns.
  • Provide leadership, strategy, and guidance to develop and deliver EHS training programs.
  • Promote safe working techniques and re-enforce company-established policies, guidelines, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related specialty.
  • Certifications such as ASP, CSP, COSH, or OSHA 501 preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in an EHS role, with prior experience developing and delivering EHS training programs.
Preferred Skills
  • Progressive experience working in industrial/manufacturing settings.
  • Knowledge of OSHA/EPA and other relevant regulations and standards.
  • Timely record maintenance and excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Products.
Estimated Salary Range

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
