About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Adolescent Therapist to join our team at the SF Stress and Anxiety Center. As a therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to children and adolescents in our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a caseload of at least 10 clients per week, providing individual and group therapy sessions as needed.
- Dedicate a minimum of 15 hours per week to client sessions and administrative tasks, ensuring timely completion of progress notes and other documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with professional licensure requirements, maintaining current licensure with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences or the California Board of Psychology.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication with clients and families.
- Participate in mandatory yearly meetings to stay informed about organizational policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Doctorate (Ph.D., PsyD) or Master's in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or Social Work from an accredited university.
- California Psychologist License or California LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC License.
- Relevant clinical experience working with children (12 and under) and their caregivers using evidence-based practice.
- Understanding of HIPAA requirements for mental health records and substance abuse records, with ability to maintain appropriate documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
