Position: The Paralegal offers legal and administrative support to the Combs & Schaefer Law Firm, focusing on Probate and Estate Planning. Our firm has a rich history of over 62 years and is committed to fostering a vibrant work atmosphere. Candidates should possess a minimum of two years of paralegal experience, ideally in probate law, including guardianship and estate administration, along with a proven ability to engage with attorneys, Probate Courts, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting correspondence and legal documents for clients and business partners;
  • Communicating professionally with attorneys and team members through various channels;
  • Preparing and filing probate documents, managing trust accounts, and handling estate planning paperwork;
  • Engaging with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and court personnel;
  • Creating probate pleadings and essential legal documents for estate and trust management;
  • Assessing and valuing estate or trust assets, coordinating asset transfers, and managing debt payments;
  • Overseeing case management for guardianship and estate administration;
  • Utilizing the firm's task management system to track file activities and document progress.

Work Schedule:

  • 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday;
  • Flexible working hours available.

Compensation:

Qualifications:

  • Preferred educational background in Paralegal Studies or OSBA certification;
  • At least 2 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in a law firm or corporate legal setting;
  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred.
