Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily customer inquiries, primarily focused on a designated territory with a set group of accounts. Key responsibilities will include providing customers with order status, responding to customer email inquiries, making order changes, and checking orders for accuracy.

Essential Job Functions
  • Communicate with customers regarding prices, special applications, returns, shipping dates, and anticipated delays.
  • Call customers to advise of shipment delays and provide necessary information to process orders.
  • Make changes to or cancel orders/backorders and follow up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates.
  • Initiate orders for replacement parts and/or correct errors (shortages, wrong item shipped, etc.).
  • Provide price and delivery estimates to customers.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries.
  • Maintain high organization and follow-up skills for open issues.
  • Work within a designated territory as a team member.
  • Maintain customer master files.
  • Handle customers in a professional manner.
  • Obtain customer feedback information.
  • Receive and enter phone/e-mail/fax orders.
  • Identify new and better ways to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma (required)
  • Associate degree (preferred)
Experience
  • 3 years' experience in an internal sales consultant role.
  • 3 years' experience in a teaching/training role.
  • Similar industry experience.
  • Salesforce experience.
  • ERP system experience.
Skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • PC skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple requests and provide a rapid response.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team-based environment.
  • Ability to travel to multiple locations.
  • Ability to read and interpret product catalogs and procedure manuals.
