Communications Manager - Oilfield Chemicals & EV Americas

We are seeking a skilled Communications Manager to join our Performance Chemicals team in Houston, TX.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing global communication strategies for the Oilfield Chemicals business. This will involve creating target group-specific communication concepts, formulating annual communications plans, and ensuring that all communication efforts align with the company's objectives.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing global communication strategies for the Oilfield Chemicals business, covering press relations, brochures, advertising, trade fairs, events, internet, video, marketing automation, apps, and social media.
  • Strategizing and executing internal communication plans for Oilfield Chemicals, including intranet updates, employee events, employee letters, change communication, and EV Insights.
  • Creating comprehensive communication concepts and toolboxes, extending advisory support to the regional leadership team of all EV business units in the Americas for OD Performance Chemicals.
  • Taking ownership of budget planning, cost control, and performance measurement for all communication initiatives undertaken within the global Oilfield Chemicals business.
  • Maintaining close coordination with diverse country, regional, and global communications teams to ensure consistent messaging to internal and external stakeholders in adherence to corporate communication policies and standards.
  • Acting as a key liaison between the businesses and the media, ensuring adherence to the One Voice Policy and maintaining BASF's reputation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience in marketing or communications (preferred).
  • Passion or curiosity for technology, artificial intelligence, and related fields.
  • Proficiency in managing social networks such as TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and more.
  • Positive attitude, proactivity, and creativity.
