Position OverviewThe Respiratory Therapist plays a crucial role in the healthcare team, providing specialized care for patients experiencing respiratory and cardiopulmonary challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver respiratory therapy in accordance with physician directives and established protocols.
- Engage in the formulation and execution of individualized patient care strategies.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations as well as accepted clinical practices.
- Foster positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare staff through effective communication.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques and objectives.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation.
- Current Respiratory Therapist certification from the NBRC and valid CPR certification.
- Preferred experience of at least eighteen months in respiratory care, particularly in critical care environments.
