Louisiana Tech University invites applications from highly motivated and energetic individuals who enjoy a fast-paced environment. The position will report to Admissions with a dotted line to the dean of each academic college; the position will be housed within the College of Business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet with prospective freshman and transfer students and their families to discuss academic opportunities and provide guidance on the college application process.
• Coordinate tours of the college and facilitate meetings with faculty members in the various majors to showcase the university's academic programs.
• Work with student ambassador groups to engage them in the campus visit experience and ensure a robust and engaging campus visit experience.
• Develop and implement a communication plan to increase the enrollment yield of admitted students within each college, utilizing social media, traditional mail, text, email, and telephone.
• Stay up-to-date on Tech's admission requirements, scholarship opportunities, majors, and employer and graduate school recruitment to provide accurate information to prospective students.
• Meet with current students and student organizations to assist with obtaining testimonials, photos, and videos to enhance the university's ability to effectively communicate its story to prospective and admitted students.
• Travel to various recruiting events on an as-needed basis, requiring a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required; an academic major from within the hiring college is strongly desired.
• Previous experience in college admissions, recruiting, or orientation (one to three years).
• Excellent communication skills and extremely detail-oriented.
• Strong customer service and people skills.
• Proven ability to plan, work, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and team-work skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency and love of technology; extensive use of Excel, Word, and other campus computing systems (Slate and WorkDay) is required.
• Familiarity with higher education desirable.
• Ability to work some evenings and weekends.
