Dietary Aide Job Description

This role is part of the Dietary Department at Pollak Innovative Management, where we strive to provide exceptional care and services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform designated work and cleaning routines for the Dietary Department, adhering to Federal and State long term care regulations and Dietary Department Policy and Procedures.
  • Assist the cook in meal preparation and service, ensuring timely delivery of meals and snacks.
  • Follow established cleaning schedules and perform duties as assigned.
  • Assist in arranging tray cards, loading food carts, and serving meals.
  • Set up the dining room and serve residents with dignity and respect.
  • Wash and store dishes, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Report any damaged or loose fixtures, flooring, or tiling requiring replacement or repair, as well as any unsafe or malfunctioning equipment.
  • Assist in receiving and storing food supplies, adhering to facility Infection Control policy.
  • Understand and follow facility fire and disaster plans, participating in drills and actual emergencies.
  • Ensure all residents are treated fairly, with kindness, dignity, and respect, and report any grievances or complaints to the Dietary Manager.
  • Maintain compliance with all HIPAA regulations and assume accountability for all data contained in the employee handbook.

This role requires the ability to work cooperatively, assume accountability, and maintain the highest standards of sanitation and safe work environment.
