Job Summary:The Ambulatory Infusion Center (AIC) Nurse will provide primary patient care for specifically assigned patients, including assessments, care planning, evaluation, and education of patients receiving infusion therapy and/or other nursing services in accordance with the care matrices and best practices in the home or alternate site setting.
Responsibilities:- Administer IVIG and provide patient education
- Complete comprehensive nursing assessments
- Establish and maintain peripheral intravenous lines and central venous lines (PICC lines, implanted ports, midlines)
- Submit clinical records in a timely manner
- Prepare and administer medications
- Triage infusion patient inquiries
- Provide excellent patient assessment and interpersonal skills
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams
- Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance care delivery
- Adhere to safety and infection control standards
- RN degree, BSN preferred
- Advanced certification in specialty areas of practice (e.g. CRNI, ONS, IgRN) preferred but not required
- Minimum 3 years nursing experience with background in infusion therapy
- Current nursing license for applicable home state
- Experience in ICU and/or Cardiac Care preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Valid state-issued driver's license with no significant restrictions
