Job Summary

As a Slot Technician at Louisiana Downs Investment Company LLC, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless gaming experience for our customers by maintaining a high level of service and technical expertise on our slot machines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrol assigned sections to identify opportunities to surprise and delight guests
  • Assist with paper fails, jackpots, and minor repairs
  • Partner with other departments to execute slot transactions
  • Offer assistance to slot playing customers and explain features of slot machines
  • Manage a large number and variety of slot machines played by customers according to policy and their level of play
  • Respond to all requests for service through machine service lights
  • Exchange coupons and currency for guests in compliance with procedures
  • Resolve guest complaints with a sense of urgency and empathy
  • Keep slot areas clean, secure, and well maintained
  • Determine machine malfunction and identify appropriate action
  • Ensure slot machines are ready for play
  • Understand all functions of the slot machines
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies

Requirements:

  • Able to obtain Louisiana Gaming License
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Able to accurately and legibly fill out accounting forms
  • Must have knowledge or the ability to obtain knowledge of casino rules, procedures, and regulations
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Must demonstrate the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
  • Must understand safety issues associated with electrical equipment
  • Must be willing to serve customers from a variety of backgrounds
  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays and work overtime

Work Environment:

Able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.

Able to adjust pace based on customer demands and business volume while consistently meeting or exceeding department service standards.
