Job Title: PRN Endoscopy Technician

Join our team at Texas Health Flower Mound as a PRN Endoscopy Technician and contribute to delivering exceptional patient care in our GI Lab.

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated PRN Endoscopy Technician to assist physicians and nurses with GI procedures. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for setting up endoscopic equipment, handling instrumentation, and taking actions to reduce or eliminate patient risk.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist physicians and nurses with GI procedures, including setting up endoscopic equipment and handling instrumentation.
  • Take actions to reduce or eliminate patient risk, ensuring a safe and efficient procedure.
  • Follow policies, protocols, and guidelines set forth by Texas Health Resources, communicating any ethical or legal concerns through the established chain of command.
  • Initiate actions to protect patient rights and/or preferences, demonstrating teamwork and partnership in delivering care in the GI Lab.
  • Participate in Time-Out process, wash hands, and operate automatic scope washers, understanding the principles of high-level disinfection.
Requirements:
  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • 1 year of GI clinical or hospital experience preferred.
  • CNA - Certified Nurse's Aide upon hire preferred or MA - Medical Assistant upon hire preferred or EMT - Emergency Medical Technician upon hire preferred.
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
