About the Position

We are looking for a seasoned sales professional to join our team as an Account Executive in Metro New York and New Jersey. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and building strong relationships with educational institutions.

  • You will develop and increase sales revenue to meet assigned targets, handle incoming sales calls, and provide presentations, quotes, and prospecting.
  • You will also conduct virtual prospecting via email, phone calls, and other marketing methods, as well as virtual presentations via video conferencing.
  • Additionally, you will create and maintain an accurate account of sales pipeline, build relationships with influencers and top-level decision-makers within the educational community, and stay apprised of current and future bond projects that could impact funding for school districts.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn and maintain technical knowledge of products, clearly answer client questions, and provide technical assistance and support calls for existing Lightspeed clients.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Residence in, and ability to travel within, the territory of Metro New York and New Jersey.
  • Knowledge of, and experience working within, the New York City school system.
  • Proficiency with relational selling and the Challenger Sales methodology.
  • Demonstrated ability to build a network of influencers and key decision-makers within the K-12 market in the territory.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate a solutions-based message in both conversational and presentation formats.
  • Strong organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient with MS Office, Outlook, Concur, Zoom, and other software solutions implemented by Lightspeed's sales team.
